Albue Fuglekøje - large scale trap on Fanø for catching ducks - now a museum.

A duck decoy is a large scale trap with netted, curving pipes running off a pond. It was used to catch ducks for food, however, today the decoy is a living museum.
Sønderho Duck Decoy is located at the coast south of Albue Bay. During the last few years the decoy has been renovated.
The decoy is open every day.
Dogs are allowed but must be in a leash.

Kikkebjerg is 17 meters high and therefore of course amoung "The Big 5" - the five highest mountains on Fanoe.

Pælebjerg is a popular viewpoint and the highest mountain on Fanoe - 21 meters - and one of "The Big 5"; the five highest mountains on the island.

Klingebjerg on Fanø is one of the 5 mountains on Fanø, from here there is a view of the marsh areas east and north of the dune plantation.

Annedalsbjerget on Fanø is probably one of the oldest dunes in the area.

Mosedalsbjerg on Fanø is one of the most distinctive and one of the most beautiful mountains in the area.

All of the island of Fanoe is Wadden Sea National Park - The Wadden Sea is one of the most important areas for fish, birds and seals. 10 to 12 million waterfowls annually pass the Wadden Sea on their way to or from their breeding areas in northern Scandinavia, Siberia or Greenland.

The Wadden Sea is of crucial importance for more than 50 species of waterfowl. On Fanø you can experience the diverse bird life.

Søren Jessens Sand on Fanø looks like a sand desert, here the beach is more than 1 km wide and you really experience the dynamics of nature here.

The large colonies of seals is one of the great experiences on Fanø. At the great seal bank southwest of Sønderho, you can experience them up close in their natural surroundings . It takes less than half an hour to walk to the seal bank at low tide, however, you can also be lucky enough to see them already in the harbour in Nordby.
