Ancient monuments and ruins in Esbjerg

Remains from Iron Age settlements in Sjelborg - Esbjerg

Esbjerg Museum excavated in the 1950'ies remains of houses from older Roman Iron Age (around year 0). The buildings that were exposed are only part of a much larger village, which is found in the fields south and west of the site.
